Representative VanSingel offered the following amendment for HB 4233, as substitute (H-1): 1. Amend page 33, line 6, by striking out all of section 413 and inserting: "Sec. 413. From funds appropriated in part 1 for surface water, $150,000.00 is allocated to the continuation of the department’s contract for the cooperative lakes monitoring program and the voluntary stream monitoring program to ensure the continued operation of these programs.". Representative VanSingel explained the amendment. Austin Scott, representing the House Fiscal Agency, testified on the bill. Questions and discussion followed.
