Questions and discussion followed. President Doug Needham, representing the Michigan Aggregates Association, provided a presentation regarding Aggregates 101/401: Everything About Aggregates, and reviewed the following topics: Michigan Aggregates Association; What Is Aggregate; How Much is a Ton; Location; Sand and Gravel Extraction; Limestone Extraction; Processing; High Tech Automation; Reclamation; Transporting Material; Cost of Material; Cost of Sand; Delivery of Material; and Impact to Construction Costs.
