Captain Mike Krumm, and Inspector Randy Coplin, both representing the Michigan State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, provided a presentation regarding the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division and reviewed the following topics: Mission; Vision; Motor Carrier Officers; Public Safety and Infrastructure Protection; CMV Inspections School Bus Inspections; Weight Stations; Wireless Weigh-in-Motion; Size and Weight Laws; Overweight Fines; Fine Schedule’ Recent CVED Enforcement; CVED Activity; and CMV Registration.. Questions and discussion followed. President Doug Needham, representing the Michigan Aggregates Association, provided a presentation regarding Aggregates 101/401: Everything About Aggregates, and reviewed the following topics: Michigan Aggregates Association; What Is Aggregate; How Much is a Ton; Location; Sand and Gravel Extraction; Limestone Extraction; Processing; High Tech Automation; Reclamation; Transporting Material; Cost of Material; Cost of Sand; Delivery of Material; and Impact to Construction Costs.
