- Representative LaFave moved to adopt the meeting minutes from August 13, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. At 10:32 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 10:49 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order. Representative O'Malley, joined by Mark Miezio, representing Cherry Bay Orchards, Michael DeRuiter, representing DeRuiter Farms, and Nels Veliquette, representing Cherry Ke Incorporated, all testified in support of the resolution. Questions and discussion followed. The following people submitted a card in support of HR 0143, but did not wish to speak: Phil Korson, representing the the Cherry Marketing Institute Incorporated.
