- Representative Jones moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 18, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SCR 11 and HCR 11 before the committee: SCR 11 (Sen. McBroom) A concurrent resolution to urge the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to promptly approve a variance regarding shared bathroom facilities at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans. HCR 11 (Rep. Cambensy) A concurrent resolution to urge the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to promptly approve a variance regarding shared bathroom facilities at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans. Senator McBroom and Fred Schaible, representing the Michigan Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, testified on the resolutions. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card in support of SCR 11 and HCR 11, but did not wish to speak: Mark Sutton, representing the American Legion.
