Representative Reilly moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 4, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4022 and HB 4164 before the committee: HB 4022 (Rep. Berman) A bill to amend 2016 PA 370, entitled "Electronic open access to government act," by amending section 1 (MCL 15.451). HB 4164 (Rep. Berman) A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled "Revised judicature act of 1961," by amending sections 1985 and 1991 (MCL 600.1985 and 600.1991), section 1985 as added by 2015 PA 230 and section 1991 as added by 2015 PA 233, and by adding section 1991a. Representative Berman, testified in support of HB 4022 and HB 4164. Questions and discussion followed. Tom Boyd, representing the State Court Administrators Office, testified with no position on HB 4164. Questions and discussion followed.
