- Representative Brabec moved to adopt the amendments to HB 4420 (H-2). The motion did not prevail 12-17-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Representative Hammoud offered the following amendments to HB 4420 (H-2): 1. Amend page 21, following line 8, by inserting: "COVID-19 medical debt relief program $ 10,000,000." 2. Amend page 21, line 9, after "relief" by striking out "$". 3. Amend page 21, line 16, after "fund" by striking out "650,000,000" and inserting "660,000,000" and adjusting the subtotals, totals, and section 201 accordingly. 4. Amend page 52, following line 8, by inserting: "Sec. 654. The funds appropriated in part 1 for COVID-19 medical debt relief program must be used by the department of treasury to develop and operate a COVID-19 medical debt relief program that provides eligible individuals with grants for out-of-pocket costs associated with qualified medical expenses as determined by the department of treasury. Funding may be used to provide grants to eligible individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and eligible individuals with dependents who have tested positive for COVID-19. The department of treasury shall establish program rules and guidelines, including income limits, not later than 60 days after enactment of this bill.".
