Representative Roth moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 25, 2022. There being no objections, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5611 and HB 5612 before the committee: HB 5611 (Rep. Alexander) A bill to amend 1937 PA 94, entitled "Use tax act," by amending sections 4 and 21 (MCL 205.94 and 205.111), as amended by 2021 PA 109. HB 5612 (Rep. Alexander) A bill to amend 1933 PA 167, entitled "General sales tax act," by amending sections 4a and 25 (MCL 205.54a and 205.75), as amended by 2021 PA 108. Representative Julie Alexander, the bill sponsor for HB 5611 and HB5 612, explained the (H-1) substitutes to the bills. Questions and comments followed. The following Individuals submitted a card in support of HB 5611 and HB 5612, but did not wish to speak: David LaLumia.
