- Representative Wakeman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 27, 2022. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. At 10:33 AM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 10:39 AM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The Chair laid SB 209, SB 210 and SB 211 before the committee: SB 209 (Sen. McBroom) A bill to amend 1961 PA 236, entitled "Revised judicature act of 1961," (MCL 600.101 to 600.9947) by adding section 2980. SB 210 (Sen. McBroom) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 81133 (MCL 324.81133), as amended by 2018 PA 206. SB 211 (Sen. McBroom) A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 82123 (MCL 324.82123), as added by 1995 PA 58. Senator McBroom testified in support of SB 209, SB 210 and SB 211. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card in opposition to SB 210 and SB 211, but did not wish to speak: Taylor Ridderbusch, representing the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The following person submitted a card in opposition to SB 209, SB 210 and SB 211, but did not wish to speak: Bill Flory, representing the Michigan Association for Justice.
