Representative Schuette moved to adopt the amendments to HB 4290. The motion did not prevail 12-16-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Lightner, Bollin, Green, Slagh, Beson, Borton, Fink, Cavitt, DeBoer, Kuhn, Schuette, Steele. Nays: Reps. Witwer, O'Neal, Brixie, Hood, Brabec, Morse, Steckloff, Weiss, Martus, McKinney, Mentzer, Morgan, Price, Skaggs, Snyder, Wilson. Pass: None. Representative Borton offered the following amendments to HB 4290: 1. Amend page 17, line 17, after "than" by striking out "December 15" and inserting "November 30". 2. Amend page 17, line 26, by striking out all of Sec. 211 and inserting: "Sec. 211. In addition to the funds appropriated in part 1, there is appropriated an amount not to exceed $5,000,000.00 for state restricted contingency authorization. These funds are not available for expenditure until they have been transferred to another line item in part 1 under section 393(2) of the management and budget act, 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1393.". 3. Amend page 19, following line 9, by inserting: "Sec. 215. Total authorized appropriations from all sources under part 1 for legacy costs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023 are estimated at $40,375,000.00. From this amount, total agency appropriations for pension-related legacy costs are estimated at $26,565,800.00. Total agency appropriations for retiree health care legacy costs are estimated at $13,809,200.00.". 4. Amend page 23, following line 13, by inserting: "Sec. 230. If the department activates the incident management team to protect life or property, within 6 hours after the incident management team is activated to a site in this state, the department shall notify the senate and house members whose district includes the site in writing.".
