Representative Lightner offered the following amendment to HB 4309: 1. Amend page 32, following line 17, by inserting: "Sec. 703. After receiving notification from a railroad company pursuant to section 8 of the state transportation preservation act of 1976, 1976 PA 295, MCL 474.58, the department shall immediately notify the house and senate appropriations subcommittees on transportation and the state budget office that the railroad company has filed with the appropriate governmental agencies for abandonment of a line.".
