- Representative Green moved to adopt the amendments to HB 4310. The motion did not prevail 12-17-0: UNFAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Lightner, Bollin, Green, Slagh, Beson, Borton, Fink, Cavitt, DeBoer, Kuhn, Schuette, Steele. Nays: Reps. Witwer, O'Neal, Brixie, Hood, Brabec, Morse, Puri, Steckloff, Weiss, Martus, McKinney, Mentzer, Morgan, Price, Skaggs, Snyder, Wilson. Pass: None. Representative Green offered the following amendment to HB 4310: 1. Amend page 47, following line 17, by inserting: "Sec. 258. (1) In collaboration with the department of education and the department of state police, the department shall promote and support initiatives in schools and other educational organizations that include, but are not limited to, training for educators, teachers, and other personnel in school settings for all of the following: (a) The utilization of trauma-informed practices. (b) Age-appropriate education and information on human trafficking. (c) Age-appropriate education and information on sexual abuse prevention. (2) The collaboration shall include the child welfare institute within the department, which provides training and education for public and private employees who work within the child protective services, foster care, adoption, and juvenile justice systems. (3) The department shall report by March 1 of the current fiscal year on the activities and status of implementation of the requirements described in subsections (1) and (2) to the report recipients required in section 246 of this part.".
