The Chair laid HB 5577 before the committee: HB 5577 (Rep. Roth) A bill to amend 1964 PA 9, entitled "An act to describe, define, and officially adopt certain systems of coordinates for designating the position of points on or near the surface of the earth within this state," by amending sections 1, 1a, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 (MCL 54.231, 54.231a, 54.233, 54.234, 54.236, 54.237, 54.238, and 54.239), sections 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 as amended and section 1a as added by 1988 PA 154; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. Representative Neeley offered the following amendment to HB 5577: 1. Amend page 6, following line 22, by inserting: "Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 303 of the 103rd Legislature is enacted into law.".
