BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES July 23, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Advice and Consent was scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. A hearing to consider the appointment of Jeffrey M. Donofrio as the Director of the Michigan Department of Talent and Economic Development. The Chairman called the meeting to order at 1:04 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) LaSata, Nesbitt, and Hertel, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion from Sen. Nesbitt to excuse absent members form the meeting. Without objection, Sen. McBroom was excused from the meeting. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Nesbitt to adopt the meeting minutes from the June 12, 2019 meeting. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Mr. Jeffrey M. Donofrio to provide the committee with his opening statement. The Chairman invited committee members to ask questions of Mr. Donofrio regarding his appointment as the Director of the Michigan Department of Talent and Economic Development. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman moved to adjourn the meeting. Without objection, the committee was adjourned at 1:50 p.m. Date Adopted by Committee: 09.12.2019
