Room 307, House Office Building The House Committee on Families and Veterans was called to order by Chair Schmaltz. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Representative Johnsen moved to excuse Representative Fox from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from July 29, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4676 and HB 4677 before the committee: HB 4676 (Rep. MacDonell) A bill to amend 1974 PA 258, entitled "Mental health code," by amending section 602 (MCL 330.1602), as amended by 1995 PA 290. HB 4677 (Rep. Wozniak) A bill to amend 1998 PA 386, entitled "Estates and protected individuals code," by amending section 5303 (MCL 700.5303), as amended by 2024 PA 1.
