- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON MILITARY, VETERANS AND HOMELAND SECURITY REP. BEAU M LAFAVE CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Tuesday, February 19, 2019 12:00 PM Room 307, House Office Building The House Standing Committee on Military, Veterans and Homeland Security was called to order by Chairman LaFave. At 12:01 PM, the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 12:04 PM, the Chair called the committee back to order. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. LaFave, Mueller, Marino, Afendoulis, Markkanen, Jones, Chirkun, Carter, Manoogian. Absent/Excused: None. Representative Mueller moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 5, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Major General Paul Rogers, Adjutant General of the Michigan Army and Air National Guard and Director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, gave a presentation to the committee.
