BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-1758 FAX: (517) 373-0938 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 24, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Finance was scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 12:30 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 47 (Sen. Barrett). 2. Testimony regarding SB 48 (Sen. Barrett). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 12:35 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Runestad, Sen.(s) Daley, Bumstead, VanderWall, Chang and Alexander, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from April 17, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Sen. Barrett to summarize SB’s 47 and 48. At 12:44 p.m., Sen. Nesbitt entered the meeting. The Chairman invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB’s 47 and 48: Mark Hagerty, Michigan Solar Solutions – Support. Laura Sherman, Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council – Support. John Freeman, Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association- Support.
