BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 11, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4444 (Rep. S. Johnson). 2. Testimony regarding HB 4445 (Rep. Iden). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2:01 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman McBroom, Sen.(s) Lucido, Theis, MacDonald, and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chairman invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Alliance. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Lucido to adopt the meeting minutes from May 7, and May 21, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Rep. S. Johnson to summarize HB 4444 and HB 4445. The members did not have questions. There was no testimony from the public. The Chairman read the one card submitted by an individual not wishing to present testimony before the committee regarding HB 4444 and HB 4445: Lee Gonzales, Michigan Department of Civil Rights – Support. There being no further business before the committee, the Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin to adjourn the meeting.
