BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 13, 2019 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety was scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 8:30 a.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4306 (Rep. Cole). The Chairman called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chairman Lucido, Sen.(s) VanderWall, Barrett, Johnson and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. (s) Runestad and Chang were excused from the meeting. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. VanderWall to adopt the meeting minutes from June 4, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chairman invited Rep. Cole to summarize HB 4306. The following individual was invited to presented testimony regarding HB 4306: Brad Thompson, Detroit Legal News – support. The following card was read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding HB 4306: Lisa McGraw, Michigan Press - support. The Chairman moved to adjourn the meeting.
