BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7840 FAX: (517) 373-3932 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 14, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 686 (Sen. Barrett). 2. Adopted the Michigan Aggregates Market Study Oversight Report. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Lucido, Theis, MacDonald and Irwin, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the committee to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The Chair invited Sen. Barrett to summarize SB 686 for the committee. Member questions and discussion followed. Being no public testimony and no testimony cards to read in relative to SB 686, the Chair moved on to the next order of business. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin to adopt the meeting minutes from November 12, 2019. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up the Michigan Aggregates Market Study Oversight Report for consideration. Member questions and discussion followed. Being no public testimony and no testimony cards to read in relative to the Michigan Aggregates Market Study Oversight Report, the Chair entertained a motion from Sen. Lucido to adopt the Michigan Aggregates Market Study Oversight Report with recommendation that the report be adopted and submitted to the Executive Office, the Office of the Senate Majority Leader, the Office of the Senate Minority Leader and the Office of the Director of the Michigan Department of Transportation. Page 1 of 2 The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair McBroom, Sen.(s) Lucido, Theis, MacDonald and Irwin Nays: None The motion prevailed and the Michigan Aggregates Market Study Oversight Report was adopted. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Irwin to adjourn the meeting.
