BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 5, 2020 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Advice and Consent was scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. A hearing to consider the appointments of Ms. Amanda A. Howell, Ms. Sandra J. McCurdy, Mrs. Kristin M. Revere and Dr. Hsin Wang to the Michigan Board of Licensed Midwifery. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Lucido, Sen.(s) LaSata, McBroom and Hertel, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Nesbitt was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. LaSata to adopt the meeting minutes from the February 5, 2020 meeting. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited all the appointees, Ms. Amanda A. Howell, Ms. Sandra J. McCurdy, Mrs. Kristin M. Revere and Dr. Hsin Wang, to provide the committee with their introductory statements. Member questions followed. The following individuals did not wish to present testimony regarding the appointments to the Michigan Board of Licensed Midwifery: Lynell Miller, Citizen – Support appointment of Kristin Revere Kelly Wysocki-Emery, RN – Support appointment of Kristin Revere Yolanda Visser, Citizen – Support appointment of Kristin Revere Leanna Pelham, Citizen – Support appointment of Kristin Revere Elizabeth Hawver, Friends of Michigan Midwives – Support appointment of Kristin Revere, Sandra McCurdy and Amanda Howell There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the meeting.
