BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2420 FAX: (517) 373-2764 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 17, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Education and Career Readiness was scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 1:30 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding in-person vs. virtual learning. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Theis, Sen.(s) Horn, Runestad, Daley, Polehanki and Geiss, a quorum was present. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding in person vs. virtual learning: Monica Merritt, Plymouth Canton Community Schools – No Position Tiffany Shenke, Self – No Position Shannon Hazelett, Self – No Position There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
