BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0793 FAX: (517) 373-5607 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 13, 2021 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Regulatory Reform was scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 230 (Sen. McBroom). 2. Testimony regarding SB 353 (Sen. VanderWall). 3. Testimony regarding SB 354 (Sen. VanderWall). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Nesbitt, Sen.(s) Lauwers, VanderWall, Moss, Polehanki and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to adopt the meeting minutes from March 23, 2021. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Theis, Johnson and Zorn were excused from the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 230: Sen. Ed McBroom – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 353 and SB 354: Sen. Curt VanderWall – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 230, SB 353 and SB 354: Mason Doerr, Michigan Licensed Beverage Association – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 230: Lauve, Self – Opposition Page 1 of 2 The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 230, SB 353 and SB 354: John McNamara, Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 353 and SB 354: Dan Papineau, Michigan Chamber of Commerce – Support Meghann Keit, Michigan Association of Counties – No Position There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
