BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-6960 FAX: (517) 373-0897 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 8, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. Presentation by Quentin Messer Jr., Chief Executive & Economic Competitiveness Officer of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation regarding the Michigan Strategic Outreach Attraction Reserve (SOAR) Fund The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Cavanagh, Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. McDonald Rivet, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from the March 8, 2023 . Without objection, the meeting minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Quentin Messer, Jr. Chief Executive & Economic Competitiveness Officer of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to give a presentation regarding the Michigan Strategic Outreach Attraction Reserve (SOAR) Fund. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McCann, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, to adjourn the committee at 2:55 p.m.Without objection, the committee was adjourned. Adopted: 3-22-23 Page 1 of 1
