BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-6960 FAX: (517) 373-0897 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 12, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room. 1) Review of Legislative Transfer Requests The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Cavanagh, Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Cherry, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from the March 22, 2023 . Without objection, the meeting minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Corey Savino and Michael Syracuse to summarize two projects from the Strategic Outreach and Attraction Reserve (SOAR): The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McCann, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, adopt a portion of Legislative Transfer Request #1 and Legislative Transfer Request #2. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Cavanagh, Damoose, and Huizenga,. Nays: Sen.(s) Bumstead, Albert, Outman, and Theis. The motion prevailed and the portion of Legislative Transfer Request #1 and Legislative Transfer Request #2 were adopted. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Shink, supported by Sen.
