- COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 28, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., in the Senate Hearing Room, Ground Floor, Boji Tower. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Cavanagh, Cherry, Bayer, Outman, Theis, Huizenga and Hauck, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 21, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Amy Zaagman, Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health - Executive Director – No Position Amy Zaagman, Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health - Executive Director – No Position At 8:36 a.m., Sen.(s) Jeff Irwin and Darrin Camilleri entered the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Sandra Bitonti Stewart, Michigan Child Collaborative Care Program (MC3) - Director of Strategy – No Position Maria Muzik, M.D., Michigan Child Collaborative Care Program (MC3) – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Sabrina Luvene, Nia Purpose Michigan Infant Health Program - Coordinator – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Dr. Susan Bankhead, Clinical Services for Women and Children at Trinity Health Grand Rapids - Administrative Director – No Position The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Dawn Shanafelt, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services; Division of Maternal & Infant Health - Director – No Position Amy Epkey, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services - Senior Deputy Director, Financial Operations Administration – No Position There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
