- COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 15, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government was scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Bayer, Singh, Klinefelt and Albert, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Albert, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Hauck was excused from the meeting. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Klinefelt, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 8, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Evah Cole, Department of Treasury – Support At 3:03 p.m., Sen. Roger Hauck entered the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Eric Scorsone, Michigan State University – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Judy Allen, Michigan Township Association – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding John LaMacchia, Michigan Municipal League – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Deena Bosworth, Michigan Association of Counties – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen.
