JIM HAADSMA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, May 25, 2023 9:00 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Labor was called to order by Chair Haadsma. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Haadsma, Mentzer, Koleszar, Andrews, Churches, Wegela, Wozniak, Mueller, Kunse. Absent: Rep. O'Neal. Excused: Rep. O'Neal. Representative Koleszar moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 18, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4354, HB 4355, HB 4356 and HB 4357 before the committee: HB 4354 (Rep. Weiss) A bill to amend 1947 PA 336, entitled "An act to prohibit strikes by certain public employees; to provide review from disciplinary action with respect thereto; to provide for the mediation of grievances and the holding of elections; to declare and protect the rights and privileges of public employees; to require certain provisions in collective bargaining agreements; to prescribe means of enforcement and penalties for the violation of the provisions of this act; and to make appropriations," by amending section 15 (MCL 423.215), as amended by 2014 PA 414. HB 4355 (Rep. Weiss) A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled "The state school aid act of 1979," by amending section 164h (MCL 388.1764h), as amended by 2018 PA 265. HB 4356 (Rep.
