- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON REGULATORY REFORM REP. JOSEPH A. ARAGONA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Aragona. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Aragona, Fairbairn, Wozniak, Wendzel, Tisdel, Hoadley, Neyer, Rigas, Thompson, Liberati, Tyrone Carter, Witwer, Neeley and Dievendorf. Absent: Reps. Linting, Whitsett and Grant. Excused: Reps. Linting, Whitsett and Grant. Representative Wozniak moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 20, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4204 and HB 4205 before the committee: Representative Roth, Representative Price, and Kyle Gierada, representing Dog and Pony Show Brewing, testified in support of HB 4204 and HB 4205. Questions and discussion followed. The Chair laid HB 4276 before the committee: Thursday, April 24, 2025 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building HB 4204 (Rep. Price) A bill to amend 2000 PA 92, entitled "Food law," by amending section 6101 (MCL 289.6101), as amended by 2012 PA 178. HB 4205 (Rep. Roth) A bill to amend 2000 PA 92, entitled "Food law," by amending section 1111 (MCL 289.1111), as amended by 2018 PA 92. HB 4276 (Rep. Snyder) A bill to amend 1998 PA 58, entitled "Michigan liquor control code of 1998," by amending section 541 (MCL 436.1541), as amended by 2016 PA 434. Representative Snyder, Gerald Westgate, representing Wesco, Inc, and Mark Griffin, representing the Michigan Petroleum Association, testified in support of HB 4276. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card with a neutral position on HB 4276, but did not wish to speak: David Marvin, representing the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. The following people submitted a card in support of HB 4276, but did not wish to speak: Matt Miner, representing the Midwest Independent Retailers Association. Dave Ring and Jennifer Malcore, representing Kwik Trip. Tim Langholz, representing the National Federation of Independent Business. Representative Liberati moved to excuse Representatives Grant, Whitsett and Linting from the meeting. There being no objection the motion prevailed by unanimous consent.
