- Representative Farhat moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 25, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 69, SB 70, SB 71 and SB 72 before the committee: SB 69 (Sen. Theis) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," (MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding sections 16279 and 16279a. SB 70 (Sen. Johnson) A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled "The code of criminal procedure," by amending section 13n of chapter XVII (MCL 777.13n), as amended by 2018 PA 583. SB 71 (Sen. Hauck) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending sections 16213, 20175, 20175a, and 20199 (MCL 333.16213, 333.20175, 333.20175a, and 333.20199), sections 16213 and 20175a as added and section 20175 as amended by 2006 PA 481, and by adding sections 16213a, 16429, 17029, 17529, 17829, 17909, and 20175b. SB 72 (Sen. McDonald Rivet) A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled "The code of criminal procedure," by amending section 13n of chapter XVII (MCL 777.13n), as amended by 2018 PA 583. Senator McDonald Rivet testified in support of SB 72.
