- “Mr. Speaker and members of the House:
While I am absolutely sympathetic to the need of first responders to do their job, the legislation before us
fails to protect people’s constitutionally protected activities, most notably the right to monitor and record a
public official. I am fully open to a policy that provides first responders with appropriate protections while
also protecting people’s individual rights.”
Rep. Posthumus moved that House Bill No. 5576 be placed on its immediate passage.
