    A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” by amending sections 625a, 625c, and 625g (MCL 257.625a, 257.625c, and 257.625g), sections 625a and 625g as amended by 2021 PA 85 and section 625c as amended by 2014 PA 315. The bill was read a third time. The question being on the passage of the bill, Rep. Rogers moved to amend the bill as follows: 1. Amend page 8, following line 13, by inserting: “ (g) A private entity that performs chemical testing on a sample of an individual’s oral fluid shall protect the individual’s personally identifying information from unnecessary and improper dissemination including, but not limited to, all of the following: ( i ) Destruction of oral fluid samples as soon as practicable after collection of chemical test results and analysis. ( ii ) Prohibiting DNA samples from being entered into a database. ( iii ) Except as required for necessary licensure functions and internal data storage, prohibiting chemical test results and analysis from being entered into a database.” and relettering the remaining subdivision. The motion was seconded and the amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
