    school accountability under the rug—most notably, voting to repeal the third-grade reading law and easy-to- understand A-F standards. My amendment would simply require, at minimum, a school to post and distribute where a school ranks on the state assessments. We cannot begin to move Michigan schools from the bottom ten in the nation to the top ten without accountability. I ask for a “yes” vote on my amendment. Senator Cherry’s statement is as follows: I just want to say, as an Arab American, I find that insinuation insulting.
