    population just like I do, and you wouldn’t like it either if the rest of the state could just go out and collect signatures and tell you what to do for an issue that only matters to your area. That’s why our Constitution has protections in it for local acts, to make sure we don’t do that. This was an attempt to provide those kinds of protections against what’s essentially a local act. We shouldn’t be repealing this. We should be reforming it. We should be fixing it. We should be standing up for our small areas against special interests in other areas taking advantage of us, people who think they know better.
