    10:56 a.m. The Senate was called to order by the Assistant President pro tempore, Senator Geiss. During the recess, Senator Hoitenga entered the Senate Chamber. By unanimous consent the Senate returned to the order of Resolutions Senate Resolution No. 10. A resolution to urge the United States House of Representatives not to take up H.R. 25 of 2023 or otherwise impose a national sales tax. (This resolution was offered on Thursday, February 16, rules suspended and consideration postponed. See Senate Journal No. 17, p. 212.) The question being on the adoption of the resolution, Senator Singh requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor. The resolution was adopted, a majority of the members voting therefor, as follows:
