    In The Chair: Geiss The Senate agreed to the title of the bill. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 404, entitled A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled “Michigan election law,” by amending sections 726, 736, and 751 (MCL 168.726, 168.736, and 168.751), and by adding sections 653c, 653d, 653e, 726a, and 753a; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Johnson offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 10, line 12, after “ vote ” by striking out “ inside or ”. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
