    Senate Bill No. 749, entitled A bill to make, supplement, and adjust appropriations for various state departments and agencies, the executive office, the judiciary, and the legislature for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024; to provide for certain conditions on appropriations; and to provide for the expenditure of the appropriations. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Outman offered the following amendments: 1. Amend page 9, following line 17, by inserting: “Wastewater infrastructure project 9,000,000”. 2. Amend page 9, line 20, after “ $ ” by striking out “(24,498,600)” and inserting “(15,498,600)” and adjusting the subtotals, totals, and section 201 accordingly. 3. Amend page 33, following line 4, by inserting: “Sec. 408. From the funds appropriated in part 1 for wastewater infrastructure project, $9,000,000.00 shall be awarded to a wastewater infrastructure project located in a city with a population between 5,900 and 6,000 and in a county with a population of between 66,800 and 67,000 according to the most recent federal decennial census that supports a wastewater infrastructure project but due to cost increases resulting from inflation, supply chain, or other impact have been awarded funding amounts that are insufficient to complete the approved project.”. The amendments were not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor.
