While our traditional public-school students languish in the bottom-ten nationally in just about every key
indicator, these bills will do nothing to raise the bar, improve outcomes, empower parents, or make sure kids
don’t fall through the cracks. Instead, at 2 o’clock in the morning under the cover of darkness in lame duck,
they’re jamming these bills through without a full review of what they’re doing. In the name of transparency?
I ask for a “no” vote.
