Shannon) A bill to amend 1973 PA 186, entitled "Tax tribunal act," by amending section 46 (MCL 205.746). HB 5022 (Rep. Farhat) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," by amending sections 813, 831, and 839 (MCL 206.813, 206.831, and 206.839), as added by 2021 PA 135. HB 5637 (Rep. Churches) A bill to require the adjustment of reimbursements made to child care providers under the child development and care program for inflation; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and entities. HB 5638 (Rep. Farhat) A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled "An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," by amending sections 2, 3, 5n, 10, and 11c (MCL 722.112, 722.113, 722.115n, 722.120, and 722.121c), section 2 as amended by 2022 PA 111, section 3 as amended and section 11c as added by 2017 PA 257, section 5n as added by 2017 PA 256, and section 10 as amended by 2023 PA 304. HB 5639 (Rep. Mentzer) A bill to amend 1973 PA 116, entitled "An act to provide for the protection of children through the licensing and regulation of child care organizations; to provide for the establishment of standards of care for child care organizations; to prescribe powers and duties of certain departments of this state and adoption facilitators; to provide penalties; and to repeal acts and parts of acts," (MCL 722.111 to 722.128) by adding section 12a. Representative Farhat testified in support of HB 5022. Bob Doyle and John Eardley, representing the Michigan Association of CPAs, joined Representative Farhat to testify in support of HB 5022.
