- Representative Posthumus moved to adopt Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., in room 326 of the House Office Building, as the day, time, and location for the regularly scheduled meetings of the House Agriculture Committee. The motion prevailed 10-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Alexander, Posthumus, Bellino, Rendon, Eisen, Garza, Cambensy, Hope, Witwer, Puri. Nays: None. Pass: None. The Chair stated that the House Agriculture Committee will follow Chapter IV, stated in the House Standing Rules, which were adopted on the House Floor. Director Gary McDowell, Food and Dairy Division Director Tim Slawinski, and Nathan Kark, all representing the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, provided a presentation on A General Overview of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Michigan Food Establishments Licensing Process and Current COVID Orders. Questions and discussion followed. Dr. Daniel Haplerin, a public health epidemiologist, provided a presentation on his current research regarding transmission of COVID-19. Questions and discussion followed. Director Gary McDowell and Director Tim Slawinski approached to answer further questions from committee members.
