- Representative LaFave moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 5, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. Representative LaGrand moved to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection Reps. Berman, Guerra, Elder and Bolden were excused from the meeting. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan Judges Association. Judge Christopher Yates, representing the Michigan Judges Association, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. Chairman Filler laid before the committee a presentation by the Michigan State Appellate Defender Office. Jonathan Sacks, representing the Michigan State Appellate Defender Office, gave a presentation to the committee. Questions and discussion followed.
