    Representative Sheppard moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 27, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4102, HB 4103, HB 4104, HB 4105, HB 4106 and HB 4107 before the committee: HB 4102 (Rep. Marino) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 49 (MCL 750.49), as amended by 2018 PA 461. HB 4103 (Rep. Guerra) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 157m (MCL 750.157m), as amended by 1988 PA 335. HB 4104 (Rep. LaFave) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 159g (MCL 750.159g), as amended by 2014 PA 300. HB 4105 (Rep. Berman) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 174 (MCL 750.174), as amended by 2006 PA 573. HB 4106 (Rep. Wittenberg) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 248 (MCL 750.248), as amended by 2011 PA 206. HB 4107 (Rep. Farrington) A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending section 411j (MCL 750.411j), as amended by 2009 PA 82. Representative Berman, Representative Wittenberg, and Representative Guerra all testified in support of the bills. Dave Worthams, representing the Michigan Bankers Association, submitted a card in support of the bills, but did not wish to speak. The Chair laid HB 4186 before the committee: HB 4186 (Rep. Farrington) A bill to amend 2004 PA 452, entitled "Identity theft protection act," by amending section 4 (MCL 445.64), as added by 2018 PA 649. Representative Berman testified in support of the bill. Questions and discussion followed. Rebecca Gean, representing Michigan Realtors, submitted a card in support of the bill, but did not wish to speak. Representative Wittenberg moved to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection Reps. Schroeder, Gay-Dagnogo and Whitsett were excused from the meeting.
