- Representative Jones moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 22, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4023 and HB 5052 before the committee: HB 4023 (Rep. Farrington) A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled "Public health code," by amending section 16215 (MCL 333.16215), as amended by 2005 PA 211, and by adding section 16215a. HB 5052 (Rep. Farrington) A bill to establish a program in which recent military medical personnel may practice and perform acts, tasks, or functions under the supervision of certain health professionals; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state departments and entities. Representative Farrington and Fred Schaible, representing the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, testified in support of the bills. Questions and discussion followed.
