- Representative Stone moved to adopt the meeting minutes from February 28, 2023. There being no objections, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid before the committee a presentation given by the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs on recruiting and retention incentives. The following presenters testified: Terry Sabo, Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs in the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; Colonel Scott Meyers, Commander of Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center; Jeff Frisby, Executive Director for the National Guard Association; and Adam Hollier, Director of the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. Christine Apostle, Chief Financial Officer for the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, was available for questions.
