Not Voting—0 In The Chair: Theis Senator Lauwers moved that the bill be given immediate effect. The motion prevailed, 2/3 of the members serving voting therefor. Pursuant to Joint Rule 20, the full title of the act shall be inserted to read as follows: “An act to prohibit certain methods, acts, and practices in trade or commerce; to prescribe certain powers and duties; to provide for certain remedies, damages, and penalties; to provide for the promulgation of rules; to provide for certain investigations; and to prescribe penalties,” The Senate agreed to the full title. The following bill was read a third time: House Bill No. 5487, entitled A bill to amend 1976 PA 331, entitled “Michigan consumer protection act,” (MCL 445.901 to 445.922) by amending the title and by adding sections 3n and 3o.
