A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled “The code of criminal procedure,” by amending section 1k of chapter IX (MCL 769.1k), as amended by 2017 PA 64. The bill was placed on the order of Third Reading of Bills. By unanimous consent the Senate returned to the order of Messages from the Governor Senator MacGregor moved that the Senate proceed to consideration of the following bill: Enrolled Senate Bill No. 686 The motion prevailed. Enrolled Senate Bill No. 686, being A bill to prohibit a state department or agency or a member or office of the senate or house of representatives from taking disciplinary action against certain state employees for communicating with certain individuals in the legislative branch. (This bill was returned from the Governor on July 8 without her approval and consideration postponed. See Senate Journal No. 59, p. 1230.)
