- Resolved by the House of Representatives, That we call on the Michigan Natural Resources Commission to temporarily extend the 2025 open firearm hunting season and set the dates to be November 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025; and be it further Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the members of the Michigan Natural Resources Commission. Rep. Fitzgerald moved that Rule 71 be suspended and the resolution be considered at this time. The motion did not prevail, 3/5 of the members present not voting therefor. The resolution was referred to Committee on Government Operations. Rep. Fitzgerald moved that Rep. Farhat be excused temporarily from today’s session. The motion prevailed. Third Reading of Bills House Bill No. 4089, entitled A bill to amend 2001 PA 142, entitled “Michigan memorial highway act,” (MCL 250.1001 to 250.2092) by adding section 16e.
