Amend page 11, following line 26, by inserting: “ (15) Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory act that added section 6aa, the commission shall not increase electric rates for residential customers in this state until January 1, 2040. ” and renumbering the remaining subsections. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
