Amend page 11, following line 26, by inserting: “ (15) Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory act that added section 6aa, the commission shall not increase electric rates for public and private schools in this state until January 1, 2040. ” and renumbering the remaining subsections. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
