- The Senate agreed to the title of the bill. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 999, entitled A bill to amend 1975 PA 238, entitled “Child protection law,” by amending section 7 (MCL 722.627), as amended by 2023 PA 305. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator Runestad offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 5, following line 27, by inserting: “(z) An individual who is a state legislator.”. The amendment was not adopted, a majority of the members serving not voting therefor.
