Our law, as we looked across the country to model our law here, we looked specifically to the socialist state of Arkansas to put those provisions in our proposal here today. We need those tools here in Michigan for emergencies here. We have to protect Michigan consumers who find themselves in the most vulnerable time in their lives. I urge a “yes” vote. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 955, entitled A bill to prohibit excessive pricing for certain commodities and emergency services and supplies during a declared state of emergency; to provide remedies and penalties; and to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and entities.
